Volume VI  Issue 000033

This past week was spent redoing the entire store.  Not kidding!  We redid the wall art in every vignette and changed it up.  The store looks FABULOUS if I don’t say so myself!

Cindy even came back to help me hunt for some eBay items, Martha came in to work her magic on the clothing and Val (along with Susan and me) came in this past Monday to Jeuge up the store!

Once you work at Lynn’s Consignments, I guess you always work here!

Now, let’s show you the new improved vignettes!

Here are the green, turquoise and navy blue vignettes.

Here are the red, orange, yellow and black & white vignettes.

Saturday, I met a friend in Carp for coffee and thrifting for art.  It was fun!  Then I worked in the store redoing the art on the walls.  As you can see in the pictures we made a lot of progress!

Then Saturday night, Sandy and I went to see the English Beat at the Ventura Music Hall.  We had dinner at Prime first.  Fun night!  But, I was exhausted 🙂

This is the best picture we got…yikes!

Sunday, I worked on my house.  Cleaned the back yard and dusted!

My house cleaner does not dust.  So every six month I need to do a deep clean.  Ughhh!  Not fun!  But check out my “Dralle” perfume collection.  It is a famous company in Germany.

My friend from high school, Teresa Thornberg, brought me back my first “Dralle” item in 1980 when she spent the summer in Germany.  It was “Dralle” Shampoo.  How cool is that?

My grandpa made me that shadow box.  He was an architect, but also an extremely talented wood worker.

Time for an eBay score.  This past summer we found an excellent estate sale in Palm Springs.  They had a ton of Heath Pottery and she only wanted $25 for the pile!  Score!

Sold these three small salad plates for $140.39.  Check out the listing here.

Last night, after Fit Buddha, Sandy and I took Marc out to celebrate his birthday.  I have known Marc since I was 18 and I will never forget his birthday, because it is the same day as my grandmother’s, January 25th.

NOT the same year however…she was 1912 and he is 1963.  51 years apart.  Wild!

After a redo, my mom’s house is back on the market.  Please pass this along to ANYONE who may be interested.  Need to get Mor Mor down here ASAP!

We have made a BIG decision….We will not be carrying Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, Iron Orchid Designs or Redesign with Prima any longer.

The market is shifting away from painted furniture and we are following the trends.

We will be liquidating this stock and this week you can save 20% on any of these brands!

The store needs….

Table Lamps
Floor Lamps
Baskets
Nice Throw Pillows
Rugs in Great Condition
Metal Ware
Oil Paintings
Time for one last eBay score. We have been listing vintage tshirts on eBay. You can pick them up relatively cheap…$1 to $3 each.

Mo bought this one out in the desert and I couldn’t believe it when it sold for full asking price of $46.79.  Weird huh?

You can check out the listing here.

In my Time Hop from 7 years ago, this picture popped up.  We have come a long way in those 7 years.  Can you believe how empty the store was?

Val, Lyn and Gina Cole (Bless my Soul).

My brother is up in Bellingham with my mom and they are snowed in.  Not fun!

He must really be bored because he just text me the recipe for “Dos Padres” Taco Salad.  I don’t know where in the world he found it, but I am so glad he did and I can’t wait to make it!

And here is a link to the recipe if anyone is interested.

We LOVED “Dos Padres” in the Fairhaven section of Bellingham and it closed down back in 2017 (I think).

I used to go there in high school and then any time I was back in Bellingham.  It was a “must” visit and I ALWAYS ordered the taco salad.  It is the secret dressing that really makes it.

These are pics of the last time I was there with my dad, my step mom, my mom and my kids.  This was summer of 2016.  Good times!

Don’t forget about our Design Service.  We have successfully completed our Pasadena Job and our schedule is open for you and your makeover!

Here is a before and after from Pasadena.

And for the first person that contacts us for a design job, we will waive the $50 initial consult fee.  So email or text away 760-880-3535!

Susan and I can’t wait to get started on your redo!

And here is an example of a design board that we will do for your job. This one is for a Mid Century Design Job.

My son, Houston, finished his Camino Video from this past summer.  I found it very entertaining and I love to see how he has evolved as a film maker.  You can check it out here if you would like.

He has also made a short video for the Variety Show documenting the history of Palisades and then the fire and it is very powerful.  Can’t wait for y’all to see it on Saturday night!
