In super sad store news, Adolio retired from delivering furniture yesterday. Adolio was one of my first consignors back in early 2018. The first ten consignors were 1-10 and then we went to the alphabet A-Z. He is consignor Q so that just tells you how long he has been around!
When he first brought stuff to me, I noticed that he had a really cool truck that could haul a lot of stuff. I asked him if he would be open to do deliveries for some of my customers and he was agreeable. I know many of you have had him to your homes for deliveries and he is just the sweetest guy! I will share more fun stories about my friend, Adolio, in my next ezine, but for now here is his goodbye photo.
Oh, I almost forgot…Adolio turned 80 a few days ago and that is why he is retiring. The guy doesn’t look a day over 60! Gotta love him!
Here is a photo of Adolio & me at my surprise birthday party this past July. He really has become a part of my family and the Lynn’s Consignment’s family. God Speed young man and you had BETTER come and visit. I am SERIOUS. He doesn’t read my ezines, so if any of you know him, please share this with him. 🙂
In travel news, I was out in Palm Desert this past weekend and got some amazing stuff! You must come in the store and check it out. I hit some crazy good estate sales this past Saturday!
I will tell you more about my desert adventures in the ezine next month, but just suffice it to say that Cha Cha had many more adventures than I did while staying with my friend Marty on his fishing boat in Long Beach. You will NOT believe what happened to her!
Here is a pic of me having lunch with Tina Burke the day I arrived in Palm Desert. She is one of my best friends from high school and it is always a great time when I see her. Love you TB!
And now for some cool new stuff in our store this week. Come swing by the store and see what’s fresh! Christmas is coming! The Goose is getting fat, but not my son Houston…for those of you who do not know, his nickname is Goose. LOL. When he was little we called him Housie Goosie and my Dad HATED it….”Do NOT call him Goosie” he would yell. So, plain old Goose finally stuck.
Everyone at Pepperdine knew him as Goose. When I would meet new kids on campus I would say, “My son is Houston Wilson” and no one would know who I was talking about, but when I said “Goose” they were all like…Oh yeah! We LOVE him!
Since I have been talking about the Goose, I must share this photo of him chasing Geese in Germany back in 2017. So much fun! Notice that his Instagram handle is even “housthegoose”.
