The Store is now 30% off! Shop now before we close to shoppers on August 25th…in just 19 Shopping Days!
As a side note, we have extended our final day to August 31st. This gives us some breathing room to get the building emptied out and for consignors and customers to pick up their items.
Don’t miss out…things are moving fast. New consignments are coming in daily. And now the fixtures are priced to sell.
Pier One Rolling Racks are $75 for the shorter ones and $95 for the taller ones.

Volume VI Issue 000056
Got lots of recommendations for Attorneys, but only one for an accountant and this particular one is not taking any new clients. If you know of anyone good, please reach out.
I have to tell you about Cha Cha and her escapades recently. I really do think that Carlos is trying to kill her. Every morning, I find a new chewed up item either on the back deck or in the grass.
On Monday it was one of my favorite pairs of shoes.
Tuesday it was the remote control for my ceiling fan. I NEVER leave this down where Cha Cha can get it because I don’t have any backups. Well, Carlos must have climbed up on my dresser and knocked it down in his attempt to maim or kill Cha Cha.
Here is what was waiting for me when I left to go to the store on Tuesday. A replacement for this one cost $40. Ughhhhh!
Then yesterday morning, this greeted me as I left for work. The TV remote from my living room tv, which I keep up high on a table. Thank you Carlos! Ughhhh. I keep several of the replacement tv
remotes on hand.
Pets! Lucky for them that they are so cute!
Time for an eBay score don’t you think? And it is another coffee mug. This one sold for $61.59!
Don’t you LOVE the tag line….”As a matter of fact, I do need another Mah Jongg Set.”
Many of you have been asking how you can still follow my store on eBay once Lynn’s is closed. Here is a link to my eBay store….The Queen of Auctions.
My motto has always been eBay with Heart! There is also a place for you to follow along on that page. Do you see the Clear Heart next to the “Save Seller” in the lower right hand corner….if you click on that heart, it will turn black and you will be following us!
Thank you!
I STILL do not have my car back! But it is all is good as the KIA Telluride they gave me as a loaner has come in super handy for moving and getting ready to get out of the buildings at 1975 E. Main and 1971 E. Main Street.
So far Car Max has replaced the Windshield Washer Fluid Motor and Line which they said was super tricky because it is housed under the hood near the front of the car and they had to take the tire off to access it. Yikes!
They have also replaced the engine oil pan gasket. It was out at a specialist for those repairs and will come back to Car Max on Friday for the brake job.
Wow! I will have had the loaner for almost three weeks. But will be happy to get MY BMW back!
This past week was a continuation of getting my single car garage ready to house my currently listed on eBay items. To do this, I needed to rent a storage unit to store my kids stuff, more “to be listed” items, and some of my already listed stuff.
It is going to be a long process, but as I told Susan the other day….I LOVE to move! It is true!
So, on Saturday night (after work) I went to a storage unit near my house and rented a 10 by 23′ unit. Isn’t it beautiful?…when empty!
On Sunday, I took a break and met a friend for dinner at Lure. As we were sitting at the bar, a guy sat down next to us who looked really familiar.
I said, “Don’t you do Fit Buddha?” and he said “yes” and he told me his name was Gary. And then he also told me that he is best friends with Ava & Marc, who own Fit Buddha. And then it dawned on me….it was the “infamous” Gary Glitter! I have heard about Gary for years!
Anyway, my friend and I had a blast with Gary and then Gary & I got a picture together to send to Marc. LOL. Fun night!
On Monday, I did Fit Buddha and worked on organizing the garage because on Tuesday, I would be meeting Kevin and Xander at the store at 11 am for a big project.
We would start moving stuff from the back garages into storage. It was some stuff that I was storing for Indiana, more “to be listed” eBay stuff and some of my antique furniture. Here is a before picture. The goal is to get this entire area shoppable and clear out the store so you can see items better.
Here are the boys moving stuff! If you want to watch the tiktok you can access it here.
The craziest thing the boys moved for me was my greeting card storage unit. I really didn’t think it had another move in it….but it did survive!
I bought it 35 years ago in Bellingham. It belonged to a really weird dude who lived upstairs in a strange apartment in downtown. It was creepy! And he collected shells and used this piece to display them.
When I first bought it, we used it at my grandma’s antique store to store and sell Linens. If you look closely at the left hand side of this photo of my grandma’s antique store, you can see the cabinet.
Her store was housed in her original home…so we used every square inch and in the kitchen, we took off the cabinet doors and used them for display. I LOVE sharing photos of her store. Thanks for humoring me.
But these days, it works great for my greeting card components.
Thank you boys for moving it safely and thank you Sandy for letting me borrow your truck!
The reason that I need a cabinet to store my greeting card components is because I designed a line of greeting cards back in 1998 that were sold in Barnes & Noble, and a lot of other major retailers.
I was licensed by Interart/Hallmark. That was fun! We still sell them in the store. $3.95 each less 30% off this week!
Back to the “moving day”…..first of many. We stopped off at my house to pick up some shelves and some of my kids stuff to store.
Cha Cha thought she was helping, but not really!
We made a great dent and the storage unit is coming along nicely. On the left hand side, is “to be listed eBay items” and on the right hand side, is what I am storing for my kids. It is a LOT. I told them that each time they come home, we will go through one box.
And in the center is the “infamous” greeting card cabinet. Well done Xander and Kevin!
Time for an eBay score. I LOVE this one, because I listed this Tennis Shirt on July 10th, back in 2020. And it sold exactly 5 years later on July 10th, 2025.
And July 10th is Houston’s birthday and I got $61.59 for a shirt! Score! Check out the listing here.
On before I forget, my friend Shawn Jones is having his big band concert this Friday night, August 1st at the Grape. When Shawn stopped in the store last week, he said that there were still tickets available.
It is seriously such a fun concert and the tickets are only $40 each. Shawn is so talented, I am really surprised that he is not super famous! Here is a link to purchase.
This time there are 9 of us going, me, Marc, Tracy, her daughter Ashlan, Sandy, Val, Rebecca, Jeff, & Joanne.
Last time, there were 12 of us (not all pictured). From left to right….Marc, Pam, me, Vivianne, Cliff, Joanne, Val, Cara and Sendia.
Hope to see you there!
With all of this moving going on and tons of smalls to sell before we close….I needed more shelving. I had the boys bring over 2 Costco metal racks from my house on Tuesday.
Then on Wednesday, Xander moved some of my flatware onto one of them. We took the flatware off of one of the many shelves that my grandfather used to build for my grandma’s antique store.
Here is that shelf now in my store ready to be used for display. My grandpa was so cute, he put a ridge in the back of each shelf so that my grandma could display plates without using plate stands. How smart were they back in the 1950’s when she first opened her shop?
The reason that one shelf is painted differently on the bottom is because Indiana did an art project on it when she was in high school and I wanted to preserve it. Hahaha.
Here is what those shelves looked back in the day in my grandma’s store.
FYI, they were originally painted Pepto Pink and then Turquoise. It was 1950 when she first opened and those colors were very mid century modern.
When I moved back home in 1993 to run her store for her, I asked her if I could paint the “pepto pink” walls and all the shelving units white? She said “What are you waiting for?” LOL, I LOVE and MISS my grandma!
If you are in the store in the next few weeks, you can look ay these shelves and still see the pink and the turquoise showing through.
Time for an eBay score! I sold one each of my “100 Best Things I’ve Sold on eBay” books for $35.16. For those of you who don’t know, I wrote these books to honor my grandma. They are available in the store as well. Lots of fun stories!
Check out the listing here. It was shipped to Texas and I wonder if it is one of my new TikTok fans? Hmmmm.
Back to the store…..For my consignors, here is more info about the closing.
This has been an incredibly difficult decision for me. Here are the details of the closing process for my consignors.
Consignor Instructions
1.) If you have consigned items with us, you may pick them up or leave them with us to sell during the liquidation process at a discounted price.
You will still receive payment for these items.
2.) If it doesn’t sell during the next 90 days, we will donate it to one of the following local charities: Habitat for Humanity or The Boys and Girls Club.
3.) We will still be taking in new consignments during this process.
4.) For those of you with items that sold over a year ago, your consignor credit has been converted to store credit as per the contract.
5.) We are back to the traditional Wednesday check writing day. BUT, remember you can only get a check every 30 days. And as always, please feel free to use your consignor credit to shop in the store.
An update on my nephew, Zach. He is currently in Naches, WA. Yay! Again, what kind of a name is that for a city?
Here is a pic from Zach’s trek. So proud of this kid! Way to go Zach! And, he will be making it home in time for my mom’s 89th birthday party on Friday, August 15th.
Houston, Indy, Larissa and I will all be there. If any of you are going to be in the area then, let me know and I will send you an invite!
