Bellingham has been a blast! Lots going on. I will share more in the ezine at the end of the month, but here are some of the highlights so far.

Cha Cha arrived safely from Ventura last Thursday by truck and met up with those of us flying in for lunch upon arrival at Anthony’s. From left to right, Houston, Kai, Indy, Zach, me and my mom. Grandpa and Cha Cha were under the table!

The next day was my mom’s birthday party.  I think it was our largest turn out to date!

We rolled from that party right into the Dralle family reunion on Saturday. It was an amazing turnout and we had over 50 people show up from all over the United States. I put this together back in January, because I really miss my dad. He would have LOVED this party!

Back in January, when I had the bright idea for this reunion and once I got the AOK for the reunion from my Aunt Amy, she suggested that I get in touch with my cousin Roger Dralle.  He and I did most of the planning and he was shocked that we pulled it off!

Happy Thursday!  As you are reading this, Houston, Indiana and I are flying up to Bellingham.  Unfortunately, Emma is not joining us.  In sad news, her grandma passed away and she is on her way to Chicago to pay her respects.

Cha Cha is probably already in Bellingham because my friend Marty picked her up yesterday morning to drive her up there.  Here she is on her road trip.  My road trip with the kids will be much shorter, as the flight from LAX to BLI is only 2 1/2 hours!

Lots going on for us in Bellingham.  First up is a lunch at Anthony’s today with my nephews and hopefully Cha Cha.  Although, most restaurants in Washington don’t allow dogs…even outside.  How weird is that?  Here is a photo of us at Anthony’s from years past.  One of my kids favorite restaurants!  When they were little they called it the “Crazy Fish”restaurant.  LOL.

Then Friday afternoon, we will be celebrating my mom’s 87th birthday on her deck!  Fingers crossed for great weather!

Then Saturday is the Dralle Family Reunion.  My bright idea!  There were 13 kids in my dad’s family and there are only 2 left.  My Aunt Amy and Uncle Alan.  My Aunt Amy posted this on Facebook earlier this year.

You can see my comment…What was I thinking?  I have been working with my Aunt Amy and cousin Roger and somehow I think we may have pulled it off.  Hopefully we will have about 40 in attendance from all over the country.

I had 50 cousins (can you believe that?) and hopefully there will be quite a few of them there in addition to some of the 2nd cousins.

We used to get dragged to Dralle family reunions every summer and they were always at the Fire Hall in Mt. Vernon and they were potluck.  Well, here we go again……  Wish me luck!

My kids will fly out that next morning (Sunday) back to LA, but I will be in Bellingham for another week.  It is my high school reunion on Saturday, August 19th.  Fun times!

In more fun news, this past weekend, I went to the most amazing wedding.  More about that in my “Real” ezine at the end of the month.

Yesterday, I got to the store and the computer had crashed.  Sandy had warned me, but I had high hopes that it would resuscitate itself overnight.  Hahaha.

No luck!  So my Wednesday was CRAZY.  Had to run to Walmart to buy a new computer, try to get it set up, call our cc company to install the program and try to ring sales in the back clothing store without the ability to take credit cards.  STRESSFUL!

Then at 1:30 I had to run home and get the Cha to take her to the Vet because she will be accompanying me to Washington next week.  She is being driven up to Bellingham, but will fly back with me so she needed a health certificate.

I will be up in Bellingham for almost two weeks.  Lots going on.  My mom’s birthday party on Friday, August 11th, a Dralle Family Reunion on Saturday, August 12th in Mount Vernon and my High School Reunion on August 19th.  Whirlwind!

I also got a mild sedative for Cha Cha since she will have to be in the cargo.  Not very happy about this, but it is a 2 hour flight direct from Seattle to Santa Barbara.  I have a crate for her, but it doesn’t have a handle.  If anyone has one that will hold a 50 pound dog….I would love to borrow it.

Of course, the Cha had a clean bill of health…but $276 later, I had to drive her back home because I had plans to meet the girls for drinks after work.

I rushed back and returned to the store at 3:30 and it was time to write this newsletter. Yikes!
In better news, I had a really fun time this past Monday night. It was my friend Marty’s birthday so we went to the Shoals Restaurant at the Cliff House Inn.

The food was excellent and it was a beautiful night.

Then we went to Baskin Robbins to get him a birthday cake.  LOL!

We are redoing the front turquoise window on Friday in all pink….think Barbie!  Hot pink is preferred, but we will take all pink.  Here is a pic to provide inspo.  Of course, we will be including clothing 🙂  Calling all consignors…we need your help!
