007325 Design, Disasters, & Dancing….Lynn’s Latest #52

It has been a week.  Some fun things, some work things and some Cha Cha things!  You won’t even believe it!

What should I start with?….the new design job, the dancing & dear friends, the disasters or the dumping of more inventory into the store?

Let’s start with last Thursday!  One of my FAVORITE consignors ever came into the store.  She lives in Santa Monica and pays for an uber trip up to the store.  We LOVE you Yvonne!

When she saw me she said, “You ruined my trip to Europe” and I said “Why?” and she said “I got your email about the store closing while I was in Budapest…actually I was on the bridge between Buddha and Pest and I started crying”…Seriously?  She was serious.  I love this lady!

Volume VI  Issue 000052

So, since we were just talking about Buddha….I have to tell you about my friend’s Fit Buddha Lagree Studio (Marc who I went to USC with and his family).

I know I talk about it A LOT, but they have just gone through a total upgrade.  The space looks amazing and they had a Senior Master Lagree Trainer come in and do an intensive training session.  If you want to try Lagree (which I seriously recommend) I can get you a free class!  YES!

But, here is what the new upgraded space looks like.

So, in case you don’t remember, my original eBay assistant (from 25 years ago & one of my best friends) Mo arrived on Tuesday to help me with the store and eBay.

After Yvonne visited us in the store, Mo and I finished with work at 3 pm and headed to some thrift stores in Oxnard.

We needed more art for the store and flatware to list on eBay.  As we walked into the Arc on Oxnard Avenue….you will not believe who was checking out….Yvonne!  What the Heck? We all laughed so hard!  What a small world!  And great minds think alike!

After that close encounter of the 3rd kind, Mo and I stopped off at BJ’s for happy hour.  Seriously?  I have never been there before (but Cindy who was my eBay assistant here in Ventura loved that place) so we checked it out.

$20 later we had both had dinner and a few drinks.  What a score!

Mo and I got back to my house on Thursday night around 6 pm and I wanted to show her some of the videos that I had put on a thumb drive for a Christmas gift.  OMG, the “We are the World Video” that I did with my two best friends, Hank and DK (we met in Spain during our USC semester there) was hysterical.  She was so sweet to watch.

As we were watching, I was petting Cha Cha’s neck and OMG, I found a HUGE tennis ball size Cyst on her neck.  Now, we are talking DISASTERS!

What the heck?  Of course I freaked out and panicked, but when I squeezed it there was no pain and she was eating and drinking just fine.

On Friday morning (after Fit Buddha) I called Dr. McNeil and they were able to squeeze her in that afternoon.  Praise the Lord!

Here she is getting prepped for surgery.  Oh Cha Cha!

Time for an eBay score.  Remind me to NEVER EVER buy anything this large to sell on eBay EVER AGAIN!

I took a best offer of $60 and it was 18 1/2 by 14 1/2″ in size.

Click here to check out the listing.

I had a hard time finding a box for this one, but luckily had a box with bar stools in the back that worked perfectly.  We made a tiktok showing this one!  Always an adventure.

You can watch that short video here.

In case you missed my last few emails, we will be closing the store.  We have given 90 days notice to the management company and our final day will be August 25th.  More details later in the ezine.

Store is 10% off.  No extra discount off of the 20% Annie Sloan sale and no extra discount off of the 50% off clearance room.

We are still taking in new consignments and have been getting in some GREAT stuff every day!  Don’t miss out on these last few months of shopping at Lynn’s.

Speaking of videos, Houston has been shopping his life changing video to different outlets and check out these responses…..so proud of him!

This one is from bikepacking.com.

And this one talks about a story he pitched to Outside….”What it Means to Vlog Your Own Death.”  Crazy!

Wow, did I go off on a tangent and left you hanging about Cha Cha.  She came through the surgery just fine.  They thought that she may have eaten some sticks (surprise surprise) that may have lodged in her throat.

But Dr. McNeil found no evidence of that once she sedated her and got in there.  So, they just drained the blood etc. and sent her home with draining tubes.  GROSSSSSSSSS!

She may have also been bitten by a bug or been scratched by a cat with bacteria in their claws.  But, we will never know.

An idea, you know how some people put cameras on their animals, maybe I should put a camera on the Cha?  It would definitely be interesting.  Here she is recovering on my front porch.

Friday, Mo and I worked all day at the store and I continued working on the floor plan for the design job that Susan and I would be installing on Tuesday, July 1st down on the Lanes here in Ventura.

I had made a mistake in my measuring and needed an eraser.  Of course, there are no more erasers anywhere anymore.  And then I remembered a little box of “this-n-that” from my grandma and grandpa.

My grandfather was an architect and voila, in one of the drawers marked “erasers” I found an old, icky eraser, but it worked!

It was quite the Grandpa, “Elmer Leaf” day because later that afternoon, we sold a bench that he had made by hand back in the 1940’s.  Pretty cool!  I didn’t want it anymore and it went to a good home!

Friday night, Mo and I stopped off at Prime for happy hour on the way home.  I really needed that Martini after the day with Cha Cha.  We made it a very quick stop so that we could get home and take care of the patient.

Time for another eBay score before we get to the rest of my weekend.  LOL.  Always something going on…..

Sold these brand new Tommy Bahama pants that I bought for $20 in Palm Desert years ago.  Took a best offer of $60.

Love selling clothing because it is easy to store and ship.   Check out the listing here.

Friday night, the rest of the Palm Desert girls, were arriving for the weekend.  Candy and Kel arrived about 8:30 and they went out to dinner with Mo.  I stayed home to tend to my sick puppy.

We had plans all weekend and I wasn’t sure that I would be able to leave Cha Cha alone.  She was on antibiotics and pain pills so I was hopeful that we wouldn’t have to change our plans.  She really was so good through all of this trauma.

Saturday, we headed to the store for the girls to shop and then we went to “The Lookout” for lunch.  Love that place and especially Amy the bartender.

Then we ubered to The Rudder Room to sit on the beach with our toes in the sand.  Love that place.

Sunday, I raced to the store to pick up a white slipcover that needed to be cleaned for our design job.  Never a dull moment.  It turned out amazingly well and I can’t wait to show pics of the Beach House design job….so cute!

Sunday afternoon, the girls and I went to Harbor Cove Cafe for a leisurely lunch.

The big plans for the weekend were Sunday night when we would be heading to Tony’s Pizza to meet up with Sandy for the Kane Brown concert!

Sendia was supposed to go with us, but her oncologist recommended not going…so it made us all a bit sad.

Mo and I had taken her flowers on Thursday to cheer her up and she sent the loveliest text back.  We LOVE that lady!

And as Sendia says, “prayers are always welcome”.

Then on our way to Tony’s Pizza, Sandy called to tell me that she had ordered 100 “Beat Ovarian Cancer” Bracelets to hand out at the concert.  If that wasn’t the sweetest thing and it made me cry.  We were missing our friend that night, but we KNOW she is going to beat this!

The concert was amazing and we all had so much fun!  Although, it was chilly!

And I did do quite a bit of dancing!  I will share this photo even though I look ridiculous, I was having a blast….

When I look at this picture of me dancing now and the one 40 years ago with Hank and DK…I kind of dance the same way.  Am I wrong?

Before I get to our very successful design install that took place onTuesday, let me give you an update on Indiana.  She and Larissa are currently vacationing in Maine and having the time of their lives.

This is Larissa and her college roommate (not Indiana) on the dock of the Airbnb that they stayed in for the week.  I LOVE that my daughter enjoys traveling as much as her mama!

The day after the Kane Brown Concert (which was Monday), the girls (Kel & Candy) left to head back to Palm Desert.

Mo stayed to help me get more stuff off of eBay and into the store.  Thanks Mo!

Once the other girls left, Mo and I went to Fit Buddha and then Martini Monday with Marc.  Always fun!

Except this time he called it “Motini Monday” in honor of Mo.  LOL.

Let’s get to that design job!  Here are the before pictures.  This is the second job that we have done for this family.  The first one was at their main house in Yorba Linda.

This one is at their house on the Lanes here in Ventura.

Here are Susan and I ready to unload the Uhaul at the design install.  Adolio & Paul were supposed to be there, but there was a family emergency (Prayers to Adolio & his wife) and Susan’s entire family stepped up!  We LOVE the Wheelans!

Here are Susan’s son, Bronson, and his girlfriend, Rae after helping us to unload the truck and place everything in the house….including hanging drapes!  Thanks kids and Brad (Susan’s Husband)!

Here is the final reveal.  I am so happy with the way it turned out and Susan did an amazing job (as she always does)!  We are still going to be doing design jobs long after the store is closed.  Please reach out if you have something we can help you with!

Watch a Tiktok tour of the design job here.

In case you are curious about how much something like this may cost…this entire design job was only $3,598 and that included all of the furniture and our design fee.  Seriously?

An entire room redo for less than $4k.  If you are not calling us for your next design job, you are missing out!

Here is a text we got from the home owners….

OK, as I finish up this ezine on Wednesday night, I must share the crazy evening I had last night.

Mo, Sandy and I did Fit Buddha after the store closed and then went to the Saloon for dinner.   We met up with Kelly and her husband Vinnie….we LOVE them!  Kelly was one of my first consignors.

When Mo and I got back to my house, we took Cha Cha on a walk.  The house two doors down from mine has a Pit Bull that is always trying to break down the wooden driveway gate to come at my dog.

I am always scared to walk past that house and I walk really quickly.  I always have a plan in mind to pick up Cha Cha and throw her over our fence in case that dog gets out.

I don’t know if you remember, but over the past 2 years there has been a dog in our neighborhood that has jumped a fence and attacked Cha Cha twice.  The first time it happened because I had no clue what was happening.  The second time I grabbed Cha Cha and screamed at the dog.  She was NOT attacked that 2nd time.

Tonight, that Pit Bull came charging out of the front door (the owners did not even have it on a leash) and it came running like a bullet towards the Cha….another disaster about to happen.

But I went into Killer Mom mode…started screaming at the dog…”Stay the Fuck away from my dog” and was ready to kick her…sorry survival mode and yelled at Mo to help me.

OMG, for whatever reason, that dog went back into the house.  I seriously don’t need this many adrenaline rushes in one day.  I will elaborate on that in the next ezine, but just be prepared.  Cha Cha is fine and this is what that Pit Bull looked like coming for my dog.

I want to also say that I have known some amazing Pit Bulls…my sister Kiki had a Pit Bull mix that was the most amazing dog I have ever met.  Just saying…a lot of it is up to the owners.

OK thanks for following along with my crazy life.  Again, I am in desperate need of storage space for my eBay business.  Ideally, I need about a 20′ by 20′ space.

Does anyone have a barn, empty garage (I have had my entire eBay stock in a residential garage before), warehouse or other empty space for me to lease at a reasonable price?

I have been calling storage units, but they are like the worst salesmen in the entire world and try and keep you on the phone for hours.  I do NOT have that time.  Anyone out there have a great storage unit business that they would recommend?

Please spread the word.  Thanks!

Back to the store…..For my consignors, here is more info about the closing.

This has been an incredibly difficult decision for me. Here are the details of the closing process for my consignors.

062625 Preparing to Close the Store….Lynn’s Latest #51

I am in “closing the store” mode.  It seems a bit surreal, but it is all good.  My brain has been going into overdrive thinking about all the fun new projects that I can now take on without worrying about the super high overhead that the store required.

What a relief to not have to come up with almost $7k in rent each month…not to mention insurance, phone, internet, employee expenses etc.  It is going to be a weight lifted for sure.

But in the meantime, don’t forget that tons of new items are being added to the store daily….keep coming in as you won’t want to miss out on the new treasures!

Check out this tiktok that we made about this painting that looks eerily like Tori Spelling.  It can now be found in our 50% off clearance annex.  Click here to watch the video.

The design job that Susan and I are working on is going to be amazing!  Check out her vision board for the project.

AND don’t forget, we will still be doing design jobs long after the store is closed!

This past Friday, Indiana and Larissa came to Ventura for Indy to get her hair done.  They brought Larissa’s friend, Ty, with them.  Larissa used to babysit Ty back in Maryland where she grew up.  Ty lived across the street from her parents.  He now lives in Colorado, but came out to hang with the girls for a week.

How cute is Indiana getting her hair done at Tupelo Honey by Joey?

Here is the after….her hair looks so cute!

Time for an eBay score.  I LOVE this Polish pottery, but it really doesn’t sell for much on eBay.  That is why I was very pleasantly surprised when I sold this dinner plate for a best offer of $45 last week!

Click here to check out the listing.

Once Indiana’s hair was done, we all headed to Harbor Cove Cafe for an early dinner.  Thank you to Susan for working for me so that I could hang out with the kids!

The cocktails are super fun at this place and there is a server from Washington state who went to WWU (Western Washington University) in my hometown of Bellingham, WA.  Jenna is the best and she is now attending Pepperdine!  Too many coincidences.

Here we are at dinner. Thanks for taking the picture Jenna!

After dinner, we went back to our house and played Farkle.  Such a  fun dice game and Indiana won.  Probably because of my amazing advice that I gave her to “go for six of a kind.”.  It worked!

Then we all took the Cha on a walk.  So nice to have company on our nightly walk.

After our walk, the kids headed back to LA.  And I got back to work taking old inventory off of eBay and getting it priced and into the store.  We are putting some amazing dinner sets into the store at great prices.  Here is one that Susan priced for me on Wednesday.

I worked all day Saturday and then Sunday I picked up a console table in Ventura for our design job.  I also headed up to Carpinteria to get a super cute Williams Sonoma Rattan Chair and Ottoman for the same design job.

We will do our install on Tuesday, July 1st.  Super excited for this one!  But, can you believe it is July already?  Yikes!

Time for another eBay score before we get to the rest of my week.  LOL.  Always something going on…..

Love this little tiny figurine of “Pickles” that sold for a best offer of $112.  Yipppeeeee!  Check out the listing here.

We did a tiktok to show all the things that had sold in two days on eBay.  Pickles was one of those items.  You can watch it here.

Monday, I did Fit Buddha and Marc and I were “supposed” to go out for Martini Monday, but he had some things to take care of at the studio.

He sent me off to Lure and I ordered a martini and waited for him.   He text and said his workers hadn’t shown up yet and that he may have to take a rain check.  No worries!  But it is NOOOOOO fun drinking a martini alone!

On Monday afternoon, Mo arrived from the desert to help me move my older eBay inventory out of my house and into the store.  It has been quite the project!  Here is one of the shelves in my garage at home that is now empty!  Alleluia!

Monday night, I made the famous Dos Padres Taco Salad for dinner.  It was delicious and luckily, Jo Dallas had made some extra dressing when she was here recently and I didn’t have to do that part!

I posted this pic on her actual birthday so got to shout out “Happy Birthday”!  I bought her an egg coddler for her birthday because the “Dos Padres” taco salad recipe calls for a coddled egg in the dressing.  Weird, right?

Tuesday, Mo and I met Susan at the beach design house for final measurements and consult.

Here are Susan and myself chilling in the living room.  Can’t wait to show you the after photos!

Afterwards, Mo and I went to Dukes for lunch.

Then we worked at the store ending eBay listings for hours.  Exhausting!  Mo is such a great friend!

After that we had plans to meet Val, Peggy, Sandy, and Marian at Casa Bella for the Tuesday night $20 steak dinner special.  Super fun!

Wednesday we worked at the store and then did Fit Buddha at 5:30.  After Fit Buddha, it was the Saloon for Happy Hour and then line dancing with the Ventura Chamber of Commerce in downtown Ventura.  Super fun!

Just so you know…Mo really was in town, but she doesn’t like to be in photos :).

Check out one of our newest, coolest customers.  Sam came in with his parents last Thursday and bought some really cool art to decorate his room.

The classic line at the end just cracks me up…I say “Everyone wins when they shop at….” and he says “This Place”…..Hahaha!

Check out the Tiktok here.

Time for one more eBay score before we get to the new arrivals.  And there are soooooo many new arrivals.  I can’t believe how much cool stuff is coming in.

Before I share the eBay score, who brought this bench in?  No one can remember.  Ughhhhh.  I hate it when things don’t get a little tag on them to identify the consignor.

OK eBay score time!  This one is about an item that sold when we were in the process of closing my grandmother’s store after being open for 52 years.

I am really feeling all of the feels with another store closing.  BUT not until August 25th and we are still getting in so many amazing things!

Speaking of my world after the store, I am in desperate need of storage space for my eBay business.  Ideally, I need about a 20′ by 20′ space.

061925 Grads, Good Byes & Good Friends!….Lynn’s Latest #50

Super fun week and not too much drama!  Alleluia!  This week was all about a special graduation, goodbye to one of our favorite restaurants and seeing good friends and family members.

Also, Susan and I got a super fun new design job!  LOVE this new project!  Here is a tiktok showing the new beach cottage that we are going to have ready to go by July 4th.  The race is on!

Click here to watch the Tiktok.  For some reason when you click on my tiktok links, the sound is turned off and you have to turn it on.  Ughhh.  Anyone know how to fix that?

Volume VI  Issue 000050

Thank you to everyone who watched Houston’s YouTube video.  He is getting such great views and comments.  Even though he did something extremely stupid, he was able to turn it in to a beautiful film.  If you missed watching it, here is the link.

The first 60 seconds of his film (and you know he really wants to be a film maker and not a lawyer) went viral on TikTok and ironically enough, I just got this text from Val.  Her son in law, JD, is in a mountain bike group and apparently the video was shared with the entire group.  Sooooo cool!

Please share this video and help us make it go viral and save him from Law School…just kidding.  After his “adventure” or as I would call it “near death experience”, I asked him how it compared to Law School as we were sitting in the line at “In and Out Burger”.

He said “Law School is a piece of cake compared to what I just went through.”  FYI, In and Out Burger cost me $37.  Priceless!

Here are the spoils sitting on his lap in my car…Cha Cha was drooling.  LOL.

Just in……Bev Helton, who has been a long time ezine reader and Queen’s Court member, just posted this comment about Houston’s video.  She is from Mt. Vernon, WA and over the years has become like family.   This comment was soooooo sweet….I just had to share.

Time for an eBay score…don’t you think?  Mo found this set of stainless flatware out in Palm Desert and can you even believe how much these 3 forks sold for?  Seriously?

I took a best offer of $135.  Nice!  Click here to see the actual listing.

OK, thank you for letting me share (again) about Houston.  I think I am done for a while.  LOL.  Now it is time to get back to my life….hahaha.

Last Thursday night, I was invited to my friend Marc’s Daughter Shanti’s graduation.  How sweet was that?  It was held in Ojai outside at Nordoff High School.  Super beautiful night and such an amazing ceremony.

Let me elaborate.  I typically don’t like a graduation ceremony unless it is one of my kids.  Can you relate?  Of course you can!

But this one was awesome!  Only about 130 kids were graduating and there were 4 singers and I loved the song choices.  The ceremony was literally over in 60 minutes…WHAT?

Well, during the ceremony Shanti sang the first song, “Journey to the Past” and she is just so incredibly talented.

Then the other three gals sang “Vienna”, “My Way” and then “Landslide”.  Such amazing songs!

But, let me digress and I am so sorry, but this is back to Houston.  When he was about 2 1/2 years old, he was sitting in the back of my BMW as I was driving to Costco while pregnant with Indiana.

I was singing my lungs out to “Landslide” and this tiny little voice starts singing along….”I’m getting older too.”

It totally touched me and I NEVER forgot that moment.  So, here I am sitting in the shadow of the Ojai Mountains that almost killed my son and hearing this song.  I was totally crying.  It broke me.  Here is my text to Houston aka Goose.

OK, here is a photo of Shanti and I after the ceremony.  What a great kid!  So proud of her.

After the ceremony, we headed up to the Kettles house for a party.  Super fun and yes, I did uber to graduation so that I could have a martini at the after party.

They live so far up in the hills that I didn’t know if I could get an uber home.  So around 11 pm, I called one and didn’t know if they could find me.  LOL.  But, I had three super sweet men walk me out to find the uber and Marc even sent me home with a roadie of chardonnay.  LOVE my friends!

What a funny photo!

Time for another eBay score before we get to the rest of my week.  LOL.  Always something going on in my life.  Right?

This is an oldie but a goodie!  I bought this little bird for $2 back in 2004 and you will not believe what it sold for!  LOVE THIS STORY!

Here is a link to a current auction listing for an AE Elmer Crowell.  And my goodness…be on the lookout for this one!

So, my grandfather’s name was Elmer.  What a strange old school name and I would like to share another story that showcases my wonderful grandfather.  He passed away when I was 12 years old and in 6th grade.  He passed from complications of Alzheimers.

Here is the Washington State Pennant that I sold on eBay back in 2002.

Oh My, I am only to Friday.  Yikes!  This may be another long email.

On Friday night, I met my really great friend, Janette, for Happy Hour.  LOL.  Hence, the reason for my ezine title.  Graduations, Good Byes and Good Friends.  Well, we haven’t gotten to the Good Byes yet…have we?

AND, if you need a spray tan…no one better than Janette…In funny news, my mom’s cousin Gwen (who lives in Palm Springs) posted on my story and said “Is that a Kardashian?”  Oh my goodness!

Back to the store. On Saturday morning, I headed out to source more art.  Why?  Because Kevin and I completely redid 3 vignettes with new artwork and we sold tooooooo much.  LOL…I do love selling things, but it also ruins my displays.  HAHAHAHA.

OK, let me digress.  Back to my grandma and Cheryl Leaf Antiques.  One of her very best customers, Billie Ershig, came in the store one day and said to me (as a young person)…”I don’t think your grandma really likes to sell anything”.

I had to pause and think about that, because she really didn’t care if she sold anything.  She loved everything in her store and had hand picked it.  She didn’t need the money so that put her in a very interesting position…am I right?

One of  her favorite sayings was “I have never regretted anything that I have bought, but regretted many things that I have sold.”

So, back to present day.  I brought in so much cool new art that Kevin and I redid three more vignettes this past Saturday.

Check them out!

I worked at the store on both Saturday & Sunday and then I had fun plans on Monday.

After Fit Buddha, I grabbed Cha Cha and headed into LA to the girl’s new apartment.  The plan was to take Indiana, Larissa and Emma to Tony P’s for one last meal before they close and then head into West Hollywood for Larissa’s Fringe play.  We LOVE Tony P’s and they close for good on June 28th.

As I was reading the article about Tony P’s closing, I realized that the owners had started out with a restaurant in Santa Monica named Teasers that we used to go to all the time!

I loved that place as well and it was encouraged to design and color dollar bills and then the restaurant put them all over the walls and the ceiling.  It was a fun place!

Larissa, Indy and I arrived at Tony P’s at around 4 pm.  We had driven separately because Larissa needed to leave early for her call before the show.

Emma was supposed to be there shortly after us, but she got caught up on a work call.  We waited and waited for Emma to order, and then decided Larissa had better order.

Then about 20 minutes later, Indiana and I decided we had better order.  I had a question about the menu, so just Indy ordered.  It was getting weird!

Our waitress finally came back about 20 minutes later with the answer to my question and I finally ordered.

Then Emma shows up another 20 minutes later and she orders.  What a shit show!  We all got our food at different times.   I said “This is the worst progressive dinner I have ever been to.”  Hahaha.

In any event, it wasn’t the best experience so makes the closing more palatable.

The girls were drinking Long Island Ice Teas….LOL.  Then we headed out to see Larissa’s show in Hollywood.  It was really awesome and we took a fun pic with everyone after.

That whole crew went out drinking in Hollywood after the show and I exited stage left to go back to the girl’s apartment and check on Cha Cha.

Their roommate, Jill, has a black tuxedo cat named “Piano Man” and Cha Cha has been dying to hang out with him.  So Jill and I poured glasses of wine and sat on the floor and let them get to know one another.

Cha Cha was soooooo good and they literally stared at each other for about an hour.  Check out a little TikTok video I took of them here.

The next morning, Indiana and I went to breakfast at the cutest place in Culver City, S&W Country Diner.  That is Michelle the owner behind us.

And then I hit the road back to Ventura arriving just in time for our design consult.  Whew!

Really neat quote was on our dining table.  I am excited for my “new” future, but will definitely need a new map!

Speaking of my world after the store, I am in desperate need of storage space for my eBay business.  Ideally, I need about a 20′ by 20′ space.

Thanks!

Wednesday night, after Fit Buddha with Sandy we met up with Sendia and Kelly V (One of our favorite customers) to go line dancing!  Crazy huh?

We had a drink, went dancing and then had ice cream…super fun!  Here is the drink photo….

Here are our feet before we went line dancing….so funny…Sandy and I in our Fit Buddha foot wear.

Then we all got ice cream cones and we all chose Rocky Road-hysterical…That picture wouldn’t load….sorry!

Back to the store…..For my consignors, here is more info about the closing.

This has been an incredibly difficult decision for me. Here are the details of the closing process for my consignors.

You will still receive payment for these items.

After, June 30th, we will go back to the traditional Wednesday check writing day.
An update on my nephew, Zach. He is currently in Tahoe City, CA. I LOVE that he shared his location with me so that I can check up on him. He has gone over 1,000 miles and has about 1,600 miles to go. I asked him how he is feeling and he said “Better than ever”.

Here is a picture from Zach’s trek. He was at the top of Mt. Whitney at Sunrise. Way to go Zach!
