My Birthday Was Yesterday & A HUGE Favor!

It was my birthday on Tuesday and it started out great with breakfast at Cafe Nouveau with Indiana, Houston and Emma. Then we took a red eye that night (not so much fun) to Chicago and are now getting ready to head to South Bend for Houston’s graduation on Saturday from Notre Dame! Exciting times, but I do need a HUGE favor from you!

It is that time again! Best of Ventura County! We are nominated in the “Best Home Furnishings” Category and are so honored!

Our first year in business we took 3rd place in that category. Our second year in business we took 2nd place! But Last year we didn’t place at all! So PLEASE help us this year to make the top 3!

The only picture I could find of Steph and me was from 2007 at eBay live in Boston (the first time I met her..wow that was 14 years ago!). I look terrible! But I was dancing all night to Kool & the Gang 🙂

Here is the back story to this photo.

The closing gala in Boston was a blast with Kool and the Gang playing all their old hits. I got to meet a really neat eBayer from Texas, Stephanie Inge. She was lucky enough to catch the white towel that the lead singer used to wipe his face at the end of the concert. Stephanie put it up for sale on eBay with 30% of the proceeds going to charity. She was so sweet that she even let me pick my favorite charity–Toys for Tots! I can’t remember how much it sold for…I will have to ask her tonight!

Fun fact, to the left of Stephanie there is Melanie (my best friend from high school) and Joel Elad (author and good friend)!
