022924 Happy Leap Year & We Will See You Tomorrow For Our Grand Reopening!

No new arrival teasers this week.  We WANT you to see it in person tomorrow!

For those of you who missed the news…we are staying open!   I am forever grateful to the community here in Ventura that has continued to show us undying support.  THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Tomorrow, Friday, March 1st starting  at 11 am is our Grand Reveal and 6th Anniversary Party!  Yay!

We are all set with new consignments, but will be scheduling a few clothing appointments in the store in person on Friday for Saturday/Sunday of this week

Check out our front windows as we have been redoing the store for you!

Just so you know, me and my amazing staff are all EXHAUSTED, but so excited to share what we have built. Just an FYI, Adolio and Paul helped me bring in two 20 foot trucks full of amazing furniture yesterday.

Here is Adolio getting ready to unload it….What an adventure!

And tomorrow, our 6th Anniversary and March 1st, is also the day that should have been my Dad’s 90th birthday.  So, in honor of Dr. Wayne Dralle, I hope you come out and share in our fun new vision.

Hope to see you soon!  Here are a few of my favorite photos of my dad. Thank you for indulging me!

The first one is when we surprised my dad in Bellingham for his 75th birthday.  Indiana and Houston were so little!  We had my sister, Kiki, call him at 10 at night to tell him that a pipe had broken in her house.  He was so pissed to come over and we were all hiding in her room.

I had the kids jump out and surprise him…LOL, he is still holding the big wrench!

This next one is me and my brother in 1969 with my dad in England for the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace.  My mom took the photo and it is classic!

Again, he was a little pissed off, because Lee and I were afraid to go and stand by the horse.

By the time he convinced us to stand there we were all smiles, but he was still mad.

My dad with my mom’s cousin Donald and my grandpa Elmer Leaf (Cheryl Leaf’s husband).  That is my grandpa’s dog Brit and I love that my mom and dad lived in Barrack number 22…22 has always been my favorite number.  How cute are they all?  and so stylish…just like the clothing area that my great friend Audrey has been redoing all week!  You will be blown away……

OK, just one more pic and so hard to choose.   But I have decided…..his 80th birthday in Palm Desert at an old school steakhouse with my darling kids and he was such a great sport.  We made him wear goofy glasses and hats and gave him candy from his era…he LOVED it!

OK, back to reality.  But thank you for walking down memory lane with me and my dad.  I really miss him and I know a lot of you can relate!

With our new business model, we will be testing new store hours during the month of March.  Here are the hours going forward.  We will test being closed on Tuesdays.

Store Hours
Weds to Sat        11 to 5
Sunday              11 to 3

The Clothing section (now in the main store) is getting a TOTAL makeover and I am so excited about it!  Here is the work in progress!

Thank you Wayne for putting up the fixtures and Audrey for the new vision!

Feeling grateful for all the support from our incredible community as we embark on this new chapter! Thank you for your patience and understanding during these transitional times. ❤️

I also want to shout out to my amazing staff BY NAME….I know I don’t say this enough, but y’all are the BEST and I LOVE YOU!

Oh btw, my mom fell and hurt her hip so won’t be here for the 6th anniversary…I am so bummed, as she was here 6 years ago putting it all together with me and Val…UGHHHH…I will miss her!

She is also my biggest Cheerleader….I LOVE YOU MOR MOR!  Here is a pic of my mom from the very beginning of the store …6 years ago.  Can you believe how empty the store looks?  And she is with one of my first consignors…#9, George….we love you George!

Some of my awesome crew…These are the OG gals.  Val, me and Sandy!  Hopefully Val will pop in for a while on Friday, March 1st…we miss her ever so much!
